Shift expansion joints KML

Shear expansion joints (KML) — perceive and expansion joints for transverse displacements, shifts relative to their own axis, and are restricted from axial stretching. The design of the shear expansion joint includes limiting and guiding rods,cables, support flanges, and unloading gimbals. Special protective covers and internal screens can be installed.

Unloaded expansion joints (CMR) can be manufactured and delivered to customers with various types of connecting fittings. Welding and flanged connections are standard. On request, this type of expansion joint can be completed with end parts according to the customer's drawing. KML expansion joints are made of various steel grades: St. 3, St. 20, St. 09G2C, St. 12X18H10T, St. 10X17H13M2T, Incoloy 800, Incoloy 825, and others on request;

Working pressure: from vacuum to 10 ATM*
Working environment temperature: -240 to 1200°C
The construction length is selected individually, taking into account the needs and wishes of the customer.

This type of expansion joint does not create spacer forces and thus unloads the pipeline from the action of internal pressure forces. They require the correct choice of locations in the pipeline system. They are used for compensation of transverse shifts of pipelines, misalignment.

They can be used in combination with KMU expansion joints arranged according to certain schemes, and axial and shear displacement compensation is possible with a reduction in pipeline loads compared to the axial one.
