Angular expansion joints KMU

Angular (rotary) compensators (KMU) - perceive and compensate for angular deviations of the compensator axis at a certain angle. The design of the angle compensator eliminates axial tension or compression and shear. This is achieved with the help of special limiting and guiding rods and hinges. Special protective covers and internal guide screens can be installed.

Angle compensators (KMU) can be manufactured and delivered to customers with various types of connecting fittings. Welding and flanged connections are standard. On request, this type of expansion joint can be completed with end parts according to the customer's drawing. KMU compensators are made of various steel grades: St. 3, St. 20, St. 09G2C, St. 12X18H10T, St. 10X17H13M2T, Incoloy 800, Incoloy 825, and others on request;

Diameter: from 15 mm to 4000 mm
Working pressure: from vacuum to 10 ATM*
Working environment temperature: -240 to 1200°C
The construction length is selected individually, taking into account the needs and wishes of the customer.

Depending on the gimbal type, KMU compensators can compensate for angular movements in one or more planes. These compensators do not transmit the spacer force to the pipeline from the internal pressure during operation.

They are used for compensation of angular deviations of pipelines. In a combination of several KMU and KML compensators arranged according to certain schemes, it is possible to compensate for axial and shear movement with reduced loads in comparison with axial compensation.
